Harold George Pacheco

 

Harold George Pacheco, 87, a seven year resident of Bacliff, Texas formerly of Dickinson, passed away October 14, 2008. He was born June 27, 1921 in Oakland, California, to parents, Joseph V. and Phyllis Pacheco. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during WWII, and also served in Vietnam. He was a member of the Polynesian Culture Club, a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, and a member of Jesus Christ Church of Latter Day Saints. Mr. Pacheco was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Pacheco. He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Linda Lloyd of Palatka, Florida, Penny Lea Gilmore and husband Wayne of South Houston; sons, Albert Joseph Pacheco and significant other, Ann of Texas City, Phyllip Anthony Pacheco and wife Charlene of Bacliff; god son, Benjamin Candeleria; god daughter, Victoria Candeleria; adopted daughter, Anita Reed; 14 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2008 at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas with Bishop Harry Eulitt officiating.  Pallbearers will be Jeremy Bosley, Harold Robnett, Albert Pacheco III, Steven Barnum, Christopher Troy Pacheco and Freddie Schmidt.  There will be a reception following the service at the American Legion in Texas City.
